Green Bikes
Green Bikes is a bike share program where bicycles will be made available in Hartford allowing people access to these public bikes rather than relying on vehicles or buses. By creating alternatives to motorized travel, the Green Bikes program will reduce the carbon footprint of commuting as well as enable residents to become healthier through exercise.
Volunteers welcome! Come help prepare the 2009 green bikes for the Spring launch of our bike share pilot program! Optional veggie dinner served at 5:30 followed by a work session from 6 to 8 pm where we will start to repair, wash, prime, and paint the green bikes. Please contact John for more details.
